Meet the Team

Dr. Faranak Farzan
Dr. Faranak Farzan is the Chair in Technology Innovation for Youth Addiction Recovery and Mental Health in School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering, Simon Fraser University.
She is the EEG Platform Lead and Executive Member of CAN-BIND, an OBI-funded national network advancing biomarker-based depression research across Canada. Trained at McMaster, the University of Toronto, and Harvard Medical School, her work bridges engineering, neuroscience, and medicine. Her lab integrates neuromodulation, electrophysiology, AI, and data analytics within a state-of-the-art neurotechnology environment that supports large-scale clinical translation.
